My name is Frauke Gugat. Under my brand "FuertherPerlenkunst," I have been creating sophisticated jewelry pieces for many years and sharing my passion with an international community.
To me, jewelry is more than just an accessory – it is a sculptural piece of art made from thousands of glass beads of various shapes and sizes, combined with high-quality crystal stones and joined together with a needle and thread. My work is characterized by exceptional precision, attention to detail, and master craftsmanship.
My Style: Geometric Structure and Sculptural Depth
My journey into the world of beads began in 2006 when I discovered my love for crocheted beadwork. Fascinated by the seemingly endless possibilities, I didn't stop there but delved into a wide variety of bead stitches.
Today, I find my inspiration in all kinds of everyday things – but I am particularly fascinated by geometric structures. I enjoy thinking through these shapes architecturally and finding innovative ways to translate them into three-dimensional beadwork. Since each of my works features its own carefully balanced color composition, no two pieces of jewelry are alike.
International Experience and Expertise
Over the years, I have established a strong presence in the international beading scene:
- Publications: My original designs and detailed step-by-step instructions have been featured multiple times in renowned international specialty magazines, such as PerlenPoesie and Bead Art.
- Competitions: I have successfully participated in several international beadwork competitions, including the International Bead Award and the Battle of the Beadsmith.
Advanced Workshops: Live in Person and via Zoom
As an experienced instructor, I offer courses for advanced beaders who already possess prior knowledge of beadwork and wish to dive deeper into complex patterns. Since I do not operate a physical storefront, you can find my in-person classes through community colleges in the region, at bead fairs, or in specialized bead shops.
Additionally, I have multiple years of experience preparing, structuring, and running live workshops via Zoom. This allows you to comfortably participate in my advanced projects right from home.
